  • How to grant license to my public file? Using Creative Commons, Zoho Share offers 8 different types of licensing. Default licensing will be provided while uploading. The user can change the licensing to any one of the available 8 licensing types provided. TOP
  • Should I always upload a file to make it public? Not necessarily. Existing private files (already created using Zoho Writer / Zoho Sheet / Zoho Show) can be made public from the 'My Area' tab. TOP
  • How do I make an existing private file, public? Go to 'My Area' -> 'My Files'. Select the appropriate file type - Presentation / PDF / Spreadsheet / Document and click on 'Make Public' link TOP
  • Can I revoke public access for my file? How? Yes, a user can make files private. Once the file is made private, the file would be removed from all Zoho Share's public listings. Procedure to revoke public access of a file :
    • Go to 'My Area' -> 'My Files'
    • Select the appropriate file type - Presentation / PDF / Spreadsheet / Document and click on 'Remove Public' link

  • Can I update the content of my public file? Yes, Go to My Area -> My Files and click on edit option to edit and update the document. TOP
  • Can I chat with everyone whom I could see in people listing? User can chat only with friends. Friends online status will be represented by a green icon. To make a friend send a friend request. Once your friend accepts your request you will be allowed to chat. TOP
  • How to report SPAM content? User can report a document as SPAM by clicking the 'Flag as Spam' link in Content Preview page. TOP
  • What is Display Name? Display Name is the identity for an user in Zoho Share. If, for an user, the login name is same as the display name, the first two letters of the display name only will be exposed for security reasons. The user can edit the display name from the Settings page. TOP
  • What is Screen Name? Screen Name is used to construct an unique public url from Settings page through which public profile will be viewed. TOP
